Florida Gators sophomore cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who caused a great headache for the football team in the media, reached a deferred prosecution agreement with the State Attorney's Office on Tuesday that will allow his record to be expunged pending his completion of certain conditions.

Jenkins agreed to have no violations for the next six months, pay a $50 fee for the prosecution charges and either donate $150 to a charity of his choice, or complete 15 hours of community service.

Jenkins stated at the time that he was acting in self defense and the State Attorney's Office agreed. They dropped the charges of affray, charging Jenkins only with resisting arrest without violence.

Janoris Jenkins still faces likely suspension for at least one game by head coach Urban Meyer. The university's Office of Student Judicial Affairs also has the authority to hand down a suspension if they deem it necessary.
