Hey Poo, wanted to start this thread for you guys. I know you start spring practice tomorrow. I was wondering what the main questions for you guys are heading in and what some of the key spots you have holes to fill are.
Off the top of my head, there's some bodies to replace on both the offensive and defensive lines. Running back will also be something to watch with Scott and Williams gone.
I also want to see how the Tigers start to incorporate Shepard into the offense more.

Looking to bulk up the OL a ittle this season, everybody 300+ save hebert...we were a bit undersized last year and i think it really hurt us
Les miles seems to really be stressing the run game in all of his press conferences...i cant decide which back im most excited to see play..We have Ridley back there who has awesome vision and great cuts, but i really want to see what a healthy richard murphy can do, the guy lit up our spring game 2 years ago but was lost in the shuffle behind scott and keiland and hester...than he was injured at the beginning of the season...I am also excited to get the power running of Ford and of course Russell Shepard.
I will also be looking for a 3rd WR to step up, we obviously have Randle and Toliver, and as you know russell shepard has been moved to WR
im also interested to see how Gonzales does with the JJ and the WR's
Miles said the 3 leaders in the return game are currently Peterson, Shepard and Randle....im not sure you can really go wrong there
defensively....I want to see LOSTON man, i have been waiting to see this kid play ever since the all-star game when he was leveling kids including shepard his on blood...haha
I obviously look to peterson to be a shutdown corner and i will say jai eugene as the other corner
additionally Kelvin Sheppard coming off an awesome season at linebacker
i also want to see the big prospects of Chris Davenport and Sam Montgomery get some significant snaps on the DL
Im sure there is plenty im leaving off but it is 5 in the morning

Hey Poo, I thought Jai Eugene was moving to safety. I heard he and Taylor were likely to switch spots.
Also, is Chase Clement playing tight end or defensive end?

ive heard rumblings, which is why im so interested to see Loston
Yeah, TE, i think this is a move that was made with the running game in mind as I think he will be primarily a blocking TE, although i do think he has above average receiving skills

LSU was forced to move inside today due to the weather conditions.

Short article about Spring practice. I'm still not sure how I feel about Shepard's move to WR. I would have liked to see him throw the ball some but having him on the field as much as possible is great. Also Richard Murphy has inherited the number 18 jersey.

According to Les Miles, the team will be indoors today again with just helmets. They will go half-shell on Wednesday and Thursday and will go full pads and do some light scrimmaging on Saturday.

Here are some notes from LSU's first full scrimmage that I ran across.
- It looks like Stevan Ridley is going to lock down the starting running back spot and be backed up by Michael Ford. Richard Murphy really hasn't made a push for the job yet.
- Rueben Randle seems to be really coming along. He led the receivers today and is looking like a future star in the SEC. Russell Shepard had a fairly quiet day.
- Linebacker Kelvin Sheppard is really coming on strong. He will be one of the better linebackers in the SEC this year.
- The defensive line is young, but it seems like there are a few guys stepping up. At this point, it's hard to tell whether that's good for the defensive line or bad for the offensive line. Usually pretty hard to make that distinction during spring practice.
