The first weekend of SEC baseball is in the books and SEC Sports Hub is here to recap the action.

Every SEC team won their season-opening series, with eight SEC teams sweeping their weekend opposition.

Kentucky captured the Caravelle Resort Tournament Championship with wins over Virginia Tech, West Virginia and No. 17 Coastal Carolina. Georgia split four games against Duke and Baylor in the QTI Apparel Opening Weekend Classic, beating and losing to each team once.

The opening weekend action also included extra-innings wins by Auburn and Florida and a 9th inning come-from-behind win by Mississippi State.

LSU head coach Paul Mainieri also notched his 1,000th career win in the Tigers' second game against Centenary.

Here is a complete recap of the weekend's games:

Good weekend for the conference. I can't believe Arkansas let Ball State beat 'em in the second game. I listened to part of it on the radio, and apparently a costly error hurt the hogs, but I didn't hear enough to figure out what exactly happened. Auburn should have won their opener, but it's all but impossible to survive 5 errors in the opening game. Good weekend overall.

At least they're both decent teams. The season will balance itself out. I remember two years ago the Gators got off to a terrific start and pretty much just collapsed in SEC play.
