Heading into the season, this should easily be one of the strongest years the conference has had in recent memory. Arkansas, Florida and LSU are all legitimate contenders for Omaha this year.

LSU and Florida will be tough this year, but I'm leaning towards Florida in that matchup. South Carolina will be much improved with better depth on the mound, as well as MSU. Arkansas will be near the top in the SEC, but I don't think they'll be quite as good as last year... I don't see them going to Omaha. Just one man's opinion, though.

I don't know if I agree about Arkansas. Their starting pitching rotation is pretty wicked.

Their starting pitching will be good, but the bullpen leaves alot to be desired and I don't think they will produce as many runs as they did last year. It really seemed to me like they squeezed the most out of every inning at the plate, and I don't know how they could mangage any more runs than they were able to produce last season.

So many good teams in the SEC this year. I can't wait to see our freshmen. Our hitting is going to be superb this year. Preston Tucker is incredible at the plate and Josh Adams is pretty solid himself.

Adams has already blasted two homers tonight against USF and we're up 5-2 in the bottom of the 7th.
