SEC opening weekend baseball schedule

The NCAA baseball season gets underway on Friday, and all twelve SEC baseball teams will get their 2010 seasons underway.

The defending national champion LSU Tigers enter the season ranked third by Baseball America, while five other SEC teams rank inside the Top 25.

Every SEC team will open their season at home except for Georgia and Kentucky, who will play in a tournament this weekend. Georgia will participate in the QTI Apparel Opening Weekend Classic, while Kentucky will play in the Caravelle Resort Tournament.

I'm actually kind of excited about baseball season. We should definitely contend for Omaha this year, after getting a national seed last year and returning most of the roster. The new TV deal will put a lot more baseball games on TV, too. I think Florida has like 9 ESPN games.

I'm ready to watch my boy Cecil Tanner pitch for UGA. I dont mind baseball at all, but its definitely not my favorite sport.
