The Florida Gators (20-9, 9-5) blew a golden opportunity to clinch an NCAA Tournament berth on Saturday on the road at Georgia, dropping a close game 78-76.

Now the Gators will play host to the Vanderbilt Commodores (22-6, 11-3) in a game would certainly solidify an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament field.

Recent history is on Florida's side - the Gators have won the past eight matchups with the Commodores in Gainesville and have not lost to Vanderbilt at home since Jan. 21, 2001.

Vanderbilt won the first meeting of the season by a 95-87 score in Nashville, and head coach Gene Stallings is confident that this is one of the best teams he has taken to Gainesville in the past decade.

"I have as much confidence as I've ever have had coaching a team at Vanderbilt right now," Stallings said. "They've shown time and time again that they've got toughness. These guys have something to them that's sort of fun and you believe in them."

Florida has been tough to beat at home and blew out No. 13 Tennessee at home just a week ago. With the crowd sure to be at full throttle for the team's Senior Day, head coach Billy Donovan thinks his team will be ready to play.

"This team has played hard all year, and they've responded well," Donovan said. "I anticipate that they'll respond and play as hard as they can. Our guys understand we have to play well to put ourselves in a good position."

Florida is averaging 72.1 points per game while giving up 64.7 points per game. Vanderbilt is averaging 78.8 points per game while giving up 69.4 points per game.
