Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Zach Mettenberger was arrested early Sunday morning outside of a bar in Remerton, Ga., and charged on five counts, including underage drinking, disorderly conduct and possession of a fake I.D.

Mettenberger was expected to compete for the starting quarterback spot along with fellow redshirt freshman Aaron Murray and junior Logan Gray.

Georgia policy mandates a one-game suspension for any player charged with an alcohol-related offense. That means Mettenberger will likely be unavailable when Georgia takes on UL-Lafayette in its September 4 season opener.
