Three-star cornerback prospect David Jenkins has verbally committed to LSU today. Jenkins became the Tigers 15th commit of the 2011 recruiting class.

The 6'1 190 pound cornerback out of Carrollton, Texas is listed as the no. 51 overall corner in the nation by Rivals.

Jenkins recorded 27 tackles and two interceptions for Hebron High School last season. He has received offers from Texas, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, Arizona, Colorado State, New Mexico, Boise State, Memphis and Virginia. Jenkins is originally from Louisiana and grew up as a Tiger fan which played as an important role in his decision. Steve Ensminger was the lead recruiter for the 2011 commit.
