Defensive end Adrian Hubbard verbally committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide football team on Tuesday morning, when he informed head coach Nick Saban that he intended to play his college football at Alabama.
Hubbard is a 6-foot-7, 227-pound prospect from Norcross, Georgia. With his size and the frame to add more weight, he is the ideal fit for Saban's 3-4 defensive scheme at the "Jack" linebacker position.
The Rivals recruiting service has not yet ranked Hubbard, but he ranks as a 3-star prospect on the Scout network and is ranked as the 50th-best defensive end prospect.
His athleticism will enable him to play the linebacker position at Alabama, but he will need to bulk up and improve his technique and footwork to have an impact for the 2009 SEC Champion Crimson Tide.
With his commitment, Hubbard becomes the 23rd member of the Alabama Crimson Tide 2010 football recruiting class. |
