The Tennessee Volunteers football team continues to recruit well under head coach Lane Kiffin, securing a commitment on Tuesday from defensive tackle Calvin Smith.
Smith is ranked as a 4-star prospect at defensive tackle by the Rivals recruiting service and also ranks as the 46th-best player in the state of Florida and the 26th-best defensive tackle nationally.
At 6-foot-4, 265-pounds, Smith has great athleticism and is a disruptive force in the backfield.
Smith boasts offers from several other SEC schools, including Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
With his commitment, Calvin Smith becomes the 23rd player committed to Lane Kiffin and the Tennessee Volunteers for the 2010 football recruiting class. He is the 13th prospect committed with at least a 4-star ranking on Rivals. |
