The University of Georgia closed out the month of June by collecting three more verbal commitments to bring their total number of commitments to 12.

During the last week of June the Bulldogs received commitments from LB Deon Rodgers, S Alec Olgetree, and RB Kendrun Malcome.

Rodgers, 6'3" 197-pounds, is out of Treasure Coast High School in Port St. Lucie, Fl. He committed to the Bulldogs on June 25th after receiving offers from Buffalo, Western Michigan, and Duke. Rodgers, who shows tremendous quickness (4.48-40), finished his junior season with 40 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks.

Rodgers is a 3-star prospect and the No. 56 rated LB according to the Scouts recruiting service. He has not yet been evaluated by the Rivals recruiting service.

Olgetree, 6'3" 210-pounds, is out of Newnan High School in Newnan, Ga. He committed to Georgia on June 26th and is considered the Bulldogs' biggest commitment to this point. Olgetree also received offers from Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, North Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, West Virginia, Alabama, Auburn, and Florida. He finished his junior season with 62 tackles and 2 interceptions.

Olgetree is considered a 4-star prospect and rated as the No. 1 safety in the nation as well as the No. 29 overall prospect in the nation according to the Rivals. He is also considered a 5-star prospect and rated as the No. 2 safety in the nation as well as the No. 39 overall prospect by the Scouts.

Malcome, 6'0" 213-pounds, is out of Southwest Dekalb High School in Decatur, Ga. He committed to Georgia on June 30th after receiving offers from Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Clemson, Florida State, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida.

Malcome is considered a 3-star prospect and rated as the No. 31 overall running back in the nation according to Rivals. He is also considered a 3-star prospect and rated as the No. 27 overall running back in the nation according to Scouts.

The Bulldogs picked up eight out of their 12 commitments in the month of June and they look to increase that total in the month of July. Coach Richt has to be pleased with the way June went  as he has always stated that he prefers to go ahead and wrap up recruits early so it takes out all the stress of signing day.
