Fletcher had an outstanding weekend, and we'll need that from him all year. He SMASHED an 0-2 pitch to left yesterday that was about as far as I've seen someone hit it to left in that park. I hope he and Creede Simpson continue to step up.

Our freshman pitcher threw a scoreless five innings, giving up just three singles and a walk to a pretty good UCF team. He looks great and threw 53 strikes on 71 pitches. Kid has a great arm, it'll be nice if he can keep that up all year.

Yeah, two-thirds of the batters he faced he threw a first-pitch strike to. 12 of the 18 guys he faced he got ahead in the count.
